40 Days of Forgiveness – Day 7 The Forgiveness Formula
“Life is an adventure in forgiveness.” – Norman Cousins
Forgiveness in its essence is simple. It’s the getting there part that seems to be the hardest.
Once you have broken down the barriers of fear around forgiveness, it can become an everyday part of life just as important as eating or driving.
You find the courage to forgive once and then you forgive again.
You see that it benefits you immensely, not the other person, and then you want to forgive more.
It’s like a garage sale for your heart. It becomes more efficient to clean and declutter and keep it that way.
So, how do we get to a place of forgiveness?
It’s a simple formula really.
A willing heart + an openness to receive what you need + an ability to see the good = Forgiveness
That’s it.
So if its that easy, why isn’t every one signing up for forgiveness in droves?
As we will see, it takes a focused effort to remove the roadblocks standing in our way.
But once we take the step to forgive, the road of life becomes wide open for a great, thrilling ride.
Is today the day for you to take that step?
